At the heart of «Choir Of The Desolate», the new album by Les Yeux Sans Visage, lies a deep longing for redemption. Musically and lyrically, the band teeters between hope and desolation. It finds support in itself and in the rediscovered, common musical language.

«Choir Of The Desolate» contains the first new recordings by Les Yeux Sans Visage in over ten years. It is an album of raw elegance. Structurally dense and at the same time ethereally detached. This duality is already apparent on the album cover, designed by artist Shannon Zwicker.

Musically, bright sparks of melody, hypnotic bass lines and kaleidoscope-like rhythm structures shape songs like the shadowy «Roman Reports», the hopeful shimmering «Tidal Waves» or the fatalistic «All Is Lost».

The post-punk/new wave roots are definitely present on «Choir of the Desolate», but the album transcends such genre boundaries unapologetically.

Renowned photographer Franca Pedrazzeti accompanies the band during the process of creating the album, in the rehearsal room and during the recordings in the studio. Her pictures accompany the release of the album. The photographer captured moments of creativity that the band usually experiences only among themselves. This new openness contributes to the fact that Les Yeux Sans Visage succeeded with «Choir Of The Desolate» in producing captivating listening experience – and a worthy comeback after a long hiatus.
